East Sussex Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service is holding its “Indoor Natural Trail” event at East Dean Village Hall just outside Eastbourne on Saturday 19th September 2015.

The event is held between 10am and 5pm and is ideal for anyone interested in nature and what is going on in East Sussex to help support our valuable wildlife.  There will be guest speakers throughout the day taking about topics like WRAS wildlife ambulance service, British Divers Marine Life Rescue’s work helping whales, dolphins and seals and even the Fire Service’s involvement in animal rescue work. » Read more

Local wildlife charity East Sussex Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service (WRAS) will be raising money and have information leaflets and newsletters available at a display in the Arndale Centre Eastbourne on Wednesday 21st January 2015.

WRAS volunteers will be manning the display all day to raise awareness of the charities work and to give out information leaflets about common issues like Grounded Birds, Hedgehogs out during the day time, birds which have hit windows, road casualties and more. » Read more



This winter is WRAS’s 5th winter at its Casualty Centre at Whitesmith, its 10th year as a registered charity, almost its 20th year as a voluntary group and Trevor Weeks' 30th year undertaking wildlife rescue and conservation work.

WRAS will be holding a Bingo Night at Haisham's Civic Community Hall off Vicarage Lane, Hailsham on Saturday 6th September 2014. The first game will get underway at 7pm.

Boards are £1 each and there are ten games in total. There are various prizes to be won including High Street vouchers. There will be a bar and refreshments available and all the profits go direct to helping East Sussex WRAS help save local wildlife. » Read more
