Trevor Weeks MBE with T-shirt design winner Sharna Richardson from Hastings

Wildlife supporters are wearing a new T-shirt designed by 20 year old Sharna Richardson from Hastings.

Two months ago East Sussex Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service (WRAS) ran a competition to design a new T-shirt for the charity and after numerous entries and voting from WRAS’s volunteers a new T-shirt design was born. A badger has been rescued from a swimming pool in Denehurst Gardens, Hastings on Saturday 13th February. Volunteer Michael Lamb from East Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service (WRAS) attended on site within 30 minutes and was able to catch the badger using a dog grasper. Luckily the swimming pool was empty but the owners of the property had been on holiday so it was unclear how long the badger may have been in the pool for. » Read more

A badger cub only a few weeks old was picked up after trying to suckle up to a dog in a garden in Hastings on Bank Holiday Monday. The badger cub was rescued by volunteer rescuers from East Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service (WRAS) who took it into care at Eastbourne. » Read more

Wildlife Rescuers are issuing a £1000 reward for information leading to the conviction of the person responsible for causing unnecessary suffering to a gull in Hastings.
