Five Animal Welfare Groups have put up a total of £2,700 for a reward for evidence leading to the conviction of a person illegally poisoning animals under the Animal Welfare Act in the Seaford area.
The reward comes after growing concerns after a lady visited a Seaford Garden Centre asking to buy rat poison to kill foxes.
"Seven gulls shot in 3 weeks and a duck hit by a dart! What is happening? This cruelty must stop" said Trevor Weeks founder of East Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service (WRAS).
A fund of £1,000 has been created as a reward for information which directly results in the conviction of anyone responsible for recent gull shootings and also a duck which was found with a dart lodged in its head at the weekend.

Sussex Police called out East Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service (WRAS) after the bird was found inside a black bin liner which was tied up and dumped in a skip in Old Harrow Road, Hastings.
