East Sussex WRAS has won the Emergency Service Award at the community radio station Uckfield FM.

WRAS would like to thank Uckfield FM, sponsors CJ Thorne, those who nominated WRAS and to all WRAS's volunteers and staff for working so hard that everyone's efforts were recognized.

WRAS volunteer Christine Skinner stood to the stage at the East National Golf Club representing WRAS and collected the award on behalf of everyone at WRAS.  Unfortunately both Trevor and Weeks and Kathy Martyn were both ill and unable to attend.

Trevor Weeks said "I am really pleased that our whole team has been recognised. The charity is way bigger than me now and our staff and volunteers work exceptionally hard to help people in the local community who find sick, injured and orphaned wildlife.  Well done to everyone for all your hard work."
