Charity Christmas Cards in aid of WRAS

East Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service (WRAS) has joined forces with Studio51.com in order to provide charity Christmas cards in aid of WRAS.

WRAS almost faced closure earlier this year but was saved thanks to the help and support of the local media and members of the public across the county. Now WRAS is looking at ways of bringing money into the organisation and have joined forces with Studio51.com in order to provide Christmas cards.

"This is a first for WRAS" said founder Trevor Weeks, " we have never tried this sort of this before on the internet. For every £1 worth of cards sort in aid of WRAS we get 51p donated to WRAS. It has not cost WRAS anything to set up and Studio51.com have been very helpful in setting up an account for us."

Trevor hopes that people will buy their Christmas cards on line at www.studio51.com and select "East Sussex WRAS" as their charity to donate the money to.

"In order for WRAS to survive and cope with the increase in wildlife and veterinary bills we need to look at new ways of bring in funds" said Trevor, "we also need volunteers to help look at joining our small fundraising group to help organise events and other fundraising ideas."
