WRAS rescuers were called out to a starling which had fallen down a chimney in Harpers Road Newhaven today.
After unscrewing a vent in the boarded up fire place, a mobile phone was used to check inside and investigate what species, size and location of the bird.
The juvenile starling was soon out from the chimney and after a check over, the bird was taken out side and released to fly off down the street.
