East Sussex WRAS was set up in order to provide a front-line rescue service for wildlife casualties who unlike their domesticated cousins, do not have owners to help look after them. Our wildlife doesn’t have much, and they will fight tooth and claw to keep their valuable life, its our job to help them do that and by becoming a Pen Friend your help will make all the difference to the wildlife in our care.
In the last year we have dealt with over 5,500 casualties and received thousands of calls to our rescue line. Our rescuers are all volunteers and funded by our generous supporters. We rely on your support to help look after the birds and animals that come into our care.
It costs, on average, £80 to respond and deal with a casualty , including helping them until they are ready to be returned to the wild. Your on going support will make all the difference. Be a Pen Friend yourself or share the care by giving the gift of a Pen Friend to a loved one.
