Trapped Badger Rescued in Brighton

Rescuers have helped a badger cub in Gladstone Place Brighton just before midnight last night.

The cub had been playing with siblings on an embankment and tumbled into a court yard 4ft down.

Being so small the badger cub was struggling to get back up.  Luckily a neighbour noticed and called out East Sussex WRAS.

"It was luckily quite a simple rescue but a very enjoyable one. It was a case of careful handling and pick him up and plonking him back up on the embankment to which a grateful little badger ran off and straight into a nearby sett entrance" said Duty Rescue Co-ordinator Chris Riddington.
