Orphan Rearing Assistant
This seasonal position throughout Spring and Summer requires over 50 volunteers, helping once a week, to hand feed, monitor and care for orphaned baby birds.

We’re looking for a dedicated and practical volunteer to help prepare donated clothing for sale in our WRAS Charity Shop. This behind-the-scenes role involves using a steamer to remove wrinkles from garments, labelling items, and organizing them for display. You’ll also assist with sorting, hanging, sizing, and tagging clothing to ensure the shop floor remains well-stocked and presentable. Ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on tasks, takes pride in neat presentation, and can work efficiently as part of a team. No previous experience is needed—just a willingness to learn, good attention to detail, and a passion for supporting wildlife rescue through retail.
Our shop at 192 Terminus Road, Eastbourne, BN21 3BB is open from 9am till 5pm daily except Sunday which is 10am till 4pm.
