Night-time water rescue saves entangled gull at Hailsham Common Pond
A evening walk for a couple enjoying the early signs of spring, resulted in – what turned out to be – a rather dramatic rescue for the East Sussex Wildlife…
Watch rescuers attending a poorly badger at Burwash.
WRAS received an emergency call this morning for a collapsed badger on a driveway at Burwash. Rescuers rushed across and almost drove past the badger which was on the grass verge.
Its unclear what happened and whether it was hit by a vehicle or not, but the poor creature was not happy.
He was assessed and carefully loaded into the ambulance before being assessed by WRAS’s vet back at the Casualty Centre.
Sadly since admission the poor creature has passed away.
He was at least comfortable and safe.
Please help support WRAS in its efforts to help our local wildlife and prevent suffering.
