Catapult Crime – It Must Stop!
Wildlife charity urges public to report catapult attacks as Operation Lakeshot identifies local hotspot
Rescued Kingfisher released.
WRAS rescuers were called to Holme’s Hill to rescue a kingfisher trapped inside a warehouse today.
The bird mistakenly flew inside last yesterday and this morning works called in East Sussex Wildlife Rescue for help.
Three rescuers attended on site and used long poles and nets to secure the bird as it flew around. It was not long before the bird was netted and in the hands of rescuers. The bird was checked over and found to be in a good condition and weight.
Rescuers were able to release the bird at the pond on site where it is now back in the wild.
