
A volunteer charity shop retail sales assistant is a voluntary role that involves assisting customers, processing donations, and maintaining the shop’s appearance and will include serving customers on the till, preparing stock for sale, and keeping the shop tidy and organized.
We’re looking for people who are friendly, approachable, and helpful, with great communication skills and a passion for providing excellent customer service. Our ideal volunteer enjoys working as part of a team and is happy to support fellow volunteers and staff. Reliability is important, along with a willingness to commit to agreed shifts—various times are available to suit different schedules. You’ll need to be adaptable, take initiative when needed, and be comfortable learning new tasks. Good organisational skills are essential to help keep our shop tidy and well-stocked. Previous retail or till experience is a bonus, as is an interest in our charity’s mission.
Our shop at 192 Terminus Road, Eastbourne, BN21 3BB is open from 9am till 5pm daily except Sunday which is 10am till 4pm.
