Annual Colour Show supports East Sussex WRAS
THE HAILSHAM PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY COLOUR SHOW
The Colour Show takes place annually with three performances in March at the Hailsham Community Civic Hall, consisting of a variety of sequences of members’ Audio Visual presentations. An Audio Visual (AV) is a digital photography presentation with a combination of music and/or sound effects and narration. The AVs cover a variety of subjects, including documentaries, natural history, travel and landscapes, each AV within the show is a maximum of six minutes.
The event is expected to be a thoroughly entertaining afternoon or evening with the opportunity to enjoy a range of beautiful AVs and images covering a wide range of tastes and interests.
Proceeds from the Shows are divided between a local charity, this year being the East Sussex WRAS, and the Hailsham Photographic Society’s annual expenses. Each of the three shows, Friday 7th March evening, Saturday 8th March afternoon and evening, last a little over two hours with a break for refreshments, and opportunities to meet the charity representatives and view a members’ print exhibition.
A measure of the success of the show is in the number of people returning each year with total audiences usually around 450. Tickets are available from the WRAS, Hailsham PS Club members, the contact page of the website: http://www.hailshamphotographicsociety.co.uk, and Stevens & Carter Estate Agents in Hailsham.
