A warning is being issued to pet owners in the Hazelwood Avenue, Brodrick Road, Willington Park Drive and Jordans Lane area of Eastbourne to keep a close eye on pets and to seek veterinary advice as a matter of urgency is they suspect their pets to have picked up poison.

Road casualties on the rise
Wildlife across East Sussex are being slaughtered along roads in the county according to rescuers at East Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service (WRAS). Over the past 3 weeks WRAS has received calls about over 25 badgers and 17 foxes. Rescuers have also spotted another 10 dead badgers and 15 foxes whilst out and about. So at least 35 dead badgers and 32 dead foxes have been run over in the past 3 weeks.
Second deer rescued in past week from netting!
Volunteer rescuers risked serious injury when they went to help a stag caught in the netting discarded from hay bails on Saturday 1st March 2008. A stag somehow managed to get the netting caught in his antlers and as he crossed a barbed wire fence the netting became caught.
