The veterinary team at East Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service (WRAS) are battling to save the life of a fox rescued on Tuesday 29th August, suffering from what they believe could be Warfarin poisoning (rat poison).

Vets from Highcroft Veterinary Group have confirmed that the most likely cause of the foxes symptoms is rat poisoning. This has prompted the charity to issue a warning to residents in the Woodgate Road area of Eastbourne where the fox was rescued. » Read more

Five Animal Welfare Groups have put up a total of £2,700 for a reward for evidence leading to the conviction of a person illegally poisoning animals under the Animal Welfare Act in the Seaford area.

East Sussex WRAS has received information about a person possibly in the Central Seaford area who has a dislike of Foxes who may be poisoning foxes. The person lives near the Salts Recreation Ground. Pet owners should keep a close eye on pets in that area and seek urgent veterinary assistance if they suspect poisoning. Information has been forwarded to Sussex Police and forward to DEFRA. » Read more
