Due to expansion and an increase in workload local charity East Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service (WRAS) is holding a Volunteer Recruitment Day at its Casualty Care Centre at Whitesmith on Saturday 25th February. Members of the public are being asked to attend on the hour at any time between 11am and 7pm where founder Trevor Weeks will give a short 20 minute presentation on the work of the charity and people will have a chance to discuss the various roles and how they can help.
East Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service (WRAS) is holding two VOLUNTEER RECRUITMENT DAYS on Thursday 16th June 10am till 8pm and Saturday 18th 10am till 1pm at WRAS Casualty Care Centre, Unit 8, The Shaw Barn, Whitesmith, BN8 6JD.
Anyone interested in learning more about how to volunteer with the charity can come along on the hour to find out more about helping with the charities 3-4hour weekly "feed and clean" shifts or becoming a rescuer or helping with organising events, fundraising and training, plus people to help with DIY construction of aviaries and more.
WRAS has a number of events on the horizon and is looking for volunteers to help and is always keen for supporters to come along and introduce themselves and say hello. We are trying to raise money to help buy new caging and equipment for the new Casualty Centre as well as to help pay the usual vets and care bills.
