Just to show that it doesn't matter whether its an endangered or common species, big or small, WRAS will attend where it has the resources to do so, we don't look at the species we look at the wildlife's need for help.

East Sussex WRAS rescuer Trevor Weeks rushed to Brighton Town Centre after receiving a call about a fox which had fallen into a basement in Upper North Road Brighton, just off the Town Centre.
The fox had fallen about 15ft into a basement area, and as Trevor opened the basement door the fox jumped into an even lower basement area another 5ft down.
Residents of Buxted might have thought Santa and his reindeer had got into trouble this morning, but luckily it turned out to be a buck fallow deer entangled in electric rope in a field behind Buxted Court Buxted.
Volunteer rescuers from East Sussex Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service (WRAS) were called out just after 9am Christmas Day morning after the deer was spotted entangled and unable to get free.
Motorists are being asked to keep an eye out for low flying swans and swans wandering around roads.

“At this time of year juvenile swans are being pushed away by their parents who are starting to think about next year’s nest and young. Unfortunately juvenile swans are not brilliant at flying because of being so young and inexperienced. As a result they often crash land, misjudge distances and wind speed resulting in them crashing before their intended destination. Some swans are being forced to walk away from ponds and lakes by their parents chasing them away, meaning they walk out onto roads.” said WRAS founder Trevor Weeks.
The moments a deer was rescued and released have been caught on camera by the rescue team undertaking the rescue in a field just behind houses in Buxted East Sussex this morning.
Rescuers from East Sussex Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service (WRAS) were called out after a resident of Buxted Court noticed the deer from his window up on the bank of a wooden stream opposite. The deer was thrashing around with rope attached to its antlers. It had already pulled several posts out of the ground but could not get free. Rescuers arrived on scene and had to negotiate the wooden bank, stream and barbed wire fence in order to get to the deer.
Rescuers from East Sussex Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service who are also trained British Divers Marine Life Rescue Marine Mammal Medics attended to this injured seal on Hastings beach last night.
The callers found the injured young seal with a nasty wound to it's face and rang the East Sussex WRAS's rescue line. Duty Rescue Coordinators Chris Riddington advised the caller to stand between the seal and the sea blocking it's escape path whilst rescuers rushed over from the charities base at Whitesmith.

The swan was attached to a long length of braided fishing line which was wrapped round its body, neck, wings and legs.
Rescuers from East Sussex Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service (WRAS) had to rushed to Eastbourne Town Centre this morning after a small deer was discovered at the back of a shop.
Whilst staff were out the back of the Coffee Republic shop they inadvertently scared the deer inside the shop. Staff managed to contain the young muntjac deer in the rear section of the shop with the help of local PCSOs until rescuers arrived.
Rescuers from East Sussex WRAS have rushed out to a goose collapsed on the dam of Arlington Reservoir.
As rescuers approached they thought the goose was dead, but as they got close and touched the goose it suddenly moved.
"The poor goose was so cold, absolutely freezing cold." said rescuer Trevor Weeks.
On Tuesday afternoon East Sussex WRAS received a call from a lady walking her dogs in woodland at Burwash, which turned into a very upsetting rescue.
Rescuers Trevor Weeks and Chris Riddington rushed across to Burwash where a lady had found a fallow deer injured and staggering around in the woods. Once on site rescuers managed to catch and assess the deer which had a nasty rear leg injury.
