Trevor & WRAS join the festive revolution to save hundreds of trees this Christmas

Trevor Weeks and East Sussex Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service (WRAS) are joining the national campaign by British businesses to send Christmas wishes differently this year by giving through Everyclick's Considerate Christmas 2008. Instead of sending traditional paper Christmas cards, Trevor Weeks and East Sussex WRAS will be reducing their environmental impact by sending Christmas greetings online.

Every year, Trevor and East Sussex WRAS sends hundreds of Christmas cards. Becoming part of Considerate Christmas means they will not only save the carbon emissions from the production, distribution and disposal of traditional paper cards but Trevor will also be donating the normal cost of his Christmas card to help the work of East Sussex WRAS.

Trevor Weeks founder of East Sussex WRAS said:

"I like to send Christmas cards every year, to spread a little seasonal goodwill and let our supporters know they're important to our charity. However, as part of our drive to reduce our impact on the environment this year we've chosen to do things differently, sending our Christmas greetings online through Everyclick."

The Everyclick Christmas Club 2008 aims to sign up as many companies and individuals to the campaign as it can. With the average company sending almost 1,400 * Christmas cards every year, the campaign is set to reduce the number of paper greeting cards sent this Christmas.

Trevor Weeks continued:

"As well as the reduction in carbon emissions, it was important to us to have a charity donation attached to our Christmas wishes. Traditional charity Christmas cards typically give around 10% of the purchase price back to charity ***, whereas with Everyclick 91-119% * of the card value will go to charity. It's more than just the thought that counts, and this Christmas we're proud to stand out as a Considerate Charity."
