Goose In Good Hands for Christmas

This greylag goose will now have a safe space and warm bed over Christmas, after being delivered to East Sussex WRAS this morning. Staff arrived at the centre to find the bird left in a box outside the reception door. A note on the box said the goose had been found wandering along the Juliet Taxiway of Gatwick Airport. Luckily our local fox did not find the goose before we did. After checking the goose over for signs of Avian Influenza, the bird has now been bedded down in an isolation area where he or she will be monitored over Christmas. We hope the bird has just crash landed and will be suitable for release back in the Gatwick area in soon.
