Volunteers Needed!

As we are getting busier and busier each year with more casualties and more phone calls coming in, it is inevitable that we are in need for more volunteers to join the team!

There are a variety of different roles available so even if you think you can’t physically chase after an injured fox or climb a ladder to put a gull chick back on the roof!

You could help put our rescue forms onto our database, you could help in our charity shop in Eastbourne, or get hands on and feed and clean our wildlife casualties in care. If you have a passion for wildlife, don’t mind getting your hands dirty and want to meet likeminded people who love animals, then WRAS is the best place to volunteer!

For the Volunteer Animal Care Assistant role, we currently have vacancies that need filling on weekends. You can choose to do either a morning or an evening shift, 9am-1pm or 5pm-8pm.

For the Volunteer Rescuer role, we currently have vacancies on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday. You can choose to do either a day shift or an evening shift, 10am-6pm or 6pm-10pm.

For the Volunteer Receptionist role, we are quite flexible with hours. Generally needed between the hours of 9am and 6pm Monday - Sunday.

If you are interested in any of these roles, please head to our website www.wildlifeambulance.org/volunteer to see the full role descriptions and download our application form!

Please send your completed application form across to our Volunteer Coordinator Ellie Langridge on ellie@eastsussexwras.org.uk

For volunteering at our Charity Shop in Eastbourne, please contact Faye at the shop on 01323 643111.

Commitment to your role is very important to us. Please ensure you consider your commitment and availability before applying.
