VIRTUAL RUN FOR WRAS 2020.
Due to the Coronavirus lockdown restrictions its not possible for many of us to take part in organised runs or walks around the county, so we thought we would organise a Virtual Run!
We would love your help by taking part in our virtual run for WRAS. It doesn't matter how far you go, or how fast you do it! You can even do it around your house or garden if you are in isolation.
Over the weekend 2nd, 3rd and 4th May we want you to record a run or walk from your home for your one hour permitted exercise. Record it on an exercise or tracker app on your phone or just take a photo of yourself taking part, and we’ll send you your medal, WRAS wrist band and certificate afterwards. (Treadmills at home are fine too!)
This is not a race, but we will publish your name and distance on our website after the event too.
You can help raise even more money by getting your friends and family to sponsor you too.
How to enter: Entry is £10 per person (plus eventbrite fees). You can book your place on our virtual run by going to Eventbrite website at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/race-for-wras-virtual-race-2…
Late Entries After 12noon on Thursday 30th April, may take slightly longer to send out medals and certificates, but they will still be eligible up till lunch time Monday 4th May. Enter as normal following the instructions above.
How to submit your run afterwards: As soon as you finish your run or walk, take a screen shot of your exercise or tracker app as proof and e-mail it along with your name, the distance and time taken to email@example.com.
. Also include a photo and we will upload to facebook as many as we can over the weekend.
We will send out your medal, wrist band and certificate after the event, but please allow up to 10 working days for this to be processed and posted.
All your hard work will help us save the lives and stop the suffering of hundreds of wildlife casualties as a result, so please join in the fun, and run for WRAS.
We can't stress enough how important it is for you to abide by social distancing and to act responsibly, please run from home and avoid unnecessary journeys.Share this!
